Biography

Josh Conway is a Los Angeles–born multi-instrumentalist, producer, DJ, and drummer best known as the co-founder and rhythmic backbone of the indie-pop band, The Marías. His production and songwriting have been fundamental in shaping the band’s signature sound and rising success, contributing to two Grammy nominations, a Billboard chart-topper, and high-profile collaborations in Latin music. In 2022, Conway co-wrote “Otro Atardecer” for Bad Bunny’s Un Verano Sin Ti, which won Best Música Urbana Album at the 2023 Grammys. Conway earned a Grammy nomination for Best Engineered Album, Non-Classical for his work on The Marías’ debut album Cinema, further establishing his credibility as both a musical and technical craftsman. The Marías' sophomore album Submarine debuted at #17 on the Billboard 200 to wide critical acclaim, with its breakout single “No One Noticed” becoming their highest-charting track to date, peaking at #22 on the Billboard Hot 100 and staying on the chart for 34 consecutive weeks. Earlier this year, the band had six songs charting on the Spotify Global 200, including “No One Noticed,” “Ojos Tristes,” “Sienna,” “Heavy,” “Back to Me,” and “Nobody New.” Outside of his work with the band, Conway also brings his eclectic taste to DJ sets, performing at festivals, official after-parties, and special events.
