Biography
English singer, songwriter, and record producer, James Blake, first received recognition for a series of 2010 EPs including CMYK and Klavierwerke. He later released his self-titled debut album in 2011, receiving critical praise.
Throughout his career, he has collaborated, produced, and co-written songs for artists, such as: Bon Iver, Kendrick Lamar, Beyoncé, Vince Staples and Frank Ocean. Blake has also released remix work under the alias “Harmonimix.”
In 2016, Blake produced tracks and was featured on Beyonce's Lemonade album, with "Forward" and "Pray You Catch Me." He also co-wrote and was featured on Travis Scott's third studio album, Astroworld, with "Stop Trying to Be God."
In 2018, Blake co-wrote and performed alongside Jay Rock, Kendrick Lamar and Future on the single "King's Dead" from the albums Redemption and Black Panther: The Album, which charted at #21 in the United States.
