Biography
Grammy nominated singer, songwriter, and musician, Alex Turner, is best known as the frontman of the popular English rock band, Artic Monkeys.
In 2006, Turner and Artic Monkeys released their debut album, Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not, which went on to sell over 118,000 copies on its release date. Although the entire band received great success with its albums, Turner has been recognized for his strong songwriting and erudite lyrics, which often focused on the ups and downs of nightlife in Northern England.
Alex Turner has also written music for the 2011 Richard Ayoade film, Submarine, which also doubled as the Turner's first solo release. Turner has also collaborated with other artists- including Dizzee Rascal, Reverend and the Makers, and Tony Christie -while keeping his focus on Arctic Monkeys.
